I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – it is such a joy to have return clients in the studio to photograph their expanding family and follow their journey.

Meet this sweet baby girl, “Miss Nora” – at only 14 days new, she’s already bringing so much joy to those around her and is just such a darling.  I photographed her Big Brother Oliver as a newborn over two and a half year’s ago now, it’s just so crazy how quickly time flies by.  Little Nora loved being wrapped up and feeling secure which we made the most of for her family shots and prop poses.

Now let’s talk newborn siblings… so many of my clients returning for their second (or third) baby’s newborn shoot stress so much about getting the “sibling shot” or the “family shot” and if their (often toddler aged) child is going to be corporative or behave.  Let’s be honest, their are no guarantees.  Although I do have some little tricks up my sleeve and will always try my hardest to get those shots…sadly I’m only as good as how cooperative your child is on the day.  However, can I suggest that you come into the studio with no or little expectations as possible and then sometimes magic just happens as seen below.  Sibling Oliver didn’t want a bar of me when he first got out of the car but with some time and a little  persuasion (and perhaps some bribing lol), he was such a big boy and posed beautifully for both his family and sibling shots so well that we even got a second sibling shot with a prop.  He actually blew me away and I’m so please for these gorgeous parents to now have these memories to look back on and remember how small both of their babies once were!!

Congratulations again Lydia and Sami, you certainly make beautiful babies and together are one divine family!! x

Lots of fun was had during this maternity session, spending the afternoon with such a gorgeous family again on their journey with Lisa’s second pregnancy.  We certainly shared lots of laughs which is my kind of session, especially when trying to get Lisa’s Mum to “throw” the chiffon train up in the air and then get out of shot so she wasn’t seen.

All day we had been watching the weather, deciding what to do as it was supposed to rain and although we were not lucky enough to have beautiful blue skies with afternoon sun flare, at least the rain held off for us during this on location maternity shoot which was held just outside of Logan Village, Qld.

It’s been so wonderful watching this family grow and create their own lasting memories along their journey…they’re soon to welcome a second little bundle into the world, making their Toddler Mila a big Sister which I cannot wait to photograph in a few short week’s time.  It’s always a humble and rewarding experience to have return clients trust you and come back for their second, third and fourth session.

Thank you Lisa, you are certainly a glowing Mumma-to-be and looking absolutely amazing at 35 weeks gestation, x

If you’re considering a maternity session but are not sure whether you’d like to have an “in-studio” or “outdoor pre-sunset maternity session” then why not do what this beautiful expecting couple did and combine the two?  Mini and Vin came to the studio a couple of week’s back late in the afternoon so we could capture a mixture of images.

Mini used some of my maternity drapes which are available for clients to borrow and chose to have some photos taken with and without her husband Vin, (you can also include siblings if you have any).

We then headed down the road to a local grassy field where the remaining images were captured during an amazing ‘golden hour’ where the grass just lit up a treat for us – absolutely gorgeous!!

Enjoy Mini’s maternity images below and please don’t hesitate to enquire for more information

Well another year has passed by and our special big girl has not only turned FIVE but also had a wonderful FLAMINGO party to celebrate!!  Special thanks to all that attended and made it such a fabulous, fun day for not only Olive but us too…as always she was spoilt rotten with everyone’s generous gifts which were much appreciated.  Olive has been lucky enough now to have had a party for the last 3 years and each time we’ve had the pleasure of Mandy from “Face to Face Painting By Mandy” entertain the kids with her super talented face painting designs and balloon twisting – highly recommended!  Throw in some dress up props for a Photo booth ran by “yours truly” and a piñata that refused to crack open after half hour of hitting, lol so we had to rip it open and throw the lollies from inside the piñata over the balcony edge for the kids to catch instead 🙂  Then we finished off with Olive’s fabulous Flamingo fondant decorated cupcakes and frosted Birthday cake which were made by another local talented lady – Indah from “Munchy Cakes” in Beaudesert and trust me, Indah’s strawberry/white chocolate swirl mud cake tasted even better than it looks!!  Be sure to check out her Facebook page for other amazing designs by clicking here.  Happy 5th Birthday Ollie G!! x

It’s always such a compliment to have clients return for another shoot…I first met and photographed this beautiful family not quite three years ago for Riley’s newborn session and Riley’s Mum recently requested a family session so that they could use some of the images taken to announce that they are expecting baby #2 – what a fabulous idea!!  Riley literally only found out that day that he was going to be a BIG Brother and he certainly looks pretty excited about the whole idea.  Congratulations once again guys, I can’t wait to meet your new addition later in the year.  x
